SOLOMON AND SHEBA PAGEANT
The Solomon and Sheba Pageant took place on June 11th, 2011 at the Hall and it was a great time had by all.
Led by Bro. Charles Clarke, the pageant was chaired on the Sister side, by our lovely Sis. Emma Darey, who did a tremendous job of working with a spectacular team of Brothers and Sisters to pull together the Royal Blue and White affair.
Our reigning King, Ill Bro. David Gerald 33° stated, "Peace be unto all the saints. "It is such an honor to have won such a competition, it was all for a great cause, and I am happy Sons of Light Lodge#58 was able to be represented in such a way. I look forward to next year."
Please take the time to congratulate Sis. Booker-Woods and Bro. Gerald on their reign for the ensuing year 2011-2012. Great job Solomon and Sheba!

ST. JOHNS DAY CELEBRATION
The Annual St. Johns Day celebration took place on June 5, 2011 at St. Johns Temple on 6154 S. Woodlawn. When asked his thoughts, Grand Master Tommy Furlow 33° stated, “I think St. Johns Day was very spiritual and well appreciated by the membership. I would like to thank all of the lovely Sisters who came out to support and the Brothers who were in attendance for this great celebration. We look forward to many St. Johns Day celebrations to come.”

THE ANNUAL COOKOUT
The Lodge Cookout couldn't have been any better! Although we get rained on each and every year, there was the usual fare of ponies for the children and baseball equipment which never gets used. But, this year, there was a horse for the adults. Next year, we will strive to have better weather. But the food couldn't have gotten any better.
Congratulations to the chairpersons, Bro. Freddie Mayers and Sis. Tiffany Miller on a job well done!

MW GRAND MASTERS CORNER
Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land. How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! The Lord said, "I am setting a plumb line among my people in Israel: I will spare them no longer." Truly, light is sweet, and it pleases the eyes to see the sun. Remember the Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise Our Father in heaven.
